1 Cor 1 : 27-31
"But God chose the foolish things of he world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things are are not - to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Him.
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
Let me boast in the Lord alone.
Humans complicate the simple Life. the pressures of society make it difficult to set yourself apart without seeming too over-righteous/ self righteous.
i can't say how much i miss church back home. just being in church every sunday, fellowshipping with the band and the sunday school teachers.. the closeness and sincerity really warms my heart. i miss the triplets! they've grown very much taller, i've heard. i don't mean to compare. i really don't get the sermons here - they don't speak to me at all. i think they are too simplistic. i need hardcore, in-depth bible study. or am i just to hard-hearted? God, please show and ignite the passion within me, for the people and the church here in the uk.
I want to always:
1. Acknowledge that i am nothing without Him.
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight.
2. Seek Him first in everything i do.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
3. Remember that the world is always watching and judging.
Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
4. Be reminded of the many temptations and their consequences.
1 Peter 5:8
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
5. My heart is where my treasure is.
Matthew 6:19-21
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
6. Remember that God is love and that...
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us. (Such amazing love!)
7. so much so that He was crucified for a HUGE sinner like me.
1 Peter 3:18
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit...

more pics coming up...
