It's the mid-semester break at nus now. been really busy since school started, taking 4 chem modules and all... the tests, lab reports, revision etc just pile up as the weeks progress. it's great though, that i'm not as stressed as before. must be the great break i had in the uk. i've been spending a lot of time with ken, he's leaving soon - for 8 months. hopefully i'll be able to visit him again this christmas. christmas in europe is great - the spirit of the festive season just swallows u whole. above all that, we'll be able to climb our favorite mountain again - arthur's seat in edinburgh.
so many things to write about but so little time. so here's a brief summary of what's been happening in my life (at least those that are worth remembering):
- having lectures with my friends again
- the few outings with pals (lunches, dinners, gatherings)
- church (wesley and fcbc)
- keying's 21st birthday celebration
- crusade! at nus (great new discipleship group and SM weiyen)
- trying hard to lose the weight i gained in UK
- stayovers at both our places (ken and i)
- the great humour-filled conversations with our families
- foiled trip to malaysia with ken's family - too much red tape (immigration)
- ken getting my much-needed organic chem textbk for me
- nicholas's birthday celebration
- mid-autumn celebration with ken's family
- praise God for my results for the courses i took in the UK
- missing my fav prof who's now in australia.
and the multiple issues or thoughts that've been bugging me:
- hurricane katrina
- reading up on christian apologetics
- the problem of evil
- religion and logic (do they exclude one another?)
- baptism (which church? don't think it matters)
right, so that's all i can come up with at the moment.
i'll upload some random pictures in the next post - it's been a long time. =P
