Here's the menu (which they were well impressed with btw.. =P too bad we forgot to take pictures =( ):
Appetisers:
- Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing
- Flaming Steak Nachos Baked with Chilli Con Carne,
Sour Cream and Cheese
Entree:
- Quesadilla (Filled with Mexican Chicken, Spring Onions
and Cheese with Tangy Dip)
Sides:
- Deep Fried Breaded Prawns Served with Sweet Chilli Sauce
- Asparagus Wrapped with Thinly Sliced Teriyaki & Black Pepper Beef
Dessert:
- Strawberries
- Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Toffee Crunch (Ltd Batch)
- White Chocolate and Macademia Nut Cookies
All the stuff is homemade btw except for the salad which angi bought and the ice-cream. Pity we didn't have enough space for the wine (rose and white) which wedders got. sigh... still gushing about how good the ice cream tastes! it has daim chocolate-like bits in it! and the vanilla tastes like the one haagen dazs makes (which is unbeatable in my opinion)! tee hee~ i still have one and a half tubs left in the fridge. and and.. each tub comes with 50% extra free! saving one tub for when dear comes down in march.

It was my day off yesterday - a well-deserved one btw. was absolutely knackered by the time i got home on wednesday. thank God for endearing colleagues who give me lifts once in a while though i have a bike. anyway, i stayed in bed till about 10 - the time at which i decided that i shouldn't be such a slob. got out of bed, picked up ken's baking encyclopedia and baked chocolate pretzels and cream cheese spirals. they turned out to be a hit at work today.. everything was finished during lunch!
All my baking and cooking is so non-GMP (meaning that i don't follow the recipes and measurements accurately) since i don't have the necessary equipment and all the ingredients most of the time. i resort to estimation and coming up with alternatives to substitute the missing ingredients. but that's creativity right? experimenting and coming up with new ideas... heh~ everything always turns out well at the end anyway :)
O no, i just realise i'm becoming more domesticated.. (all the housework which i'm doing now doesn't help either) which is kinda bad cos i don't wanna end up a full-time housewife before i'm 30 (at least). it will be a complete nightmare.

More baking on sunday @peili's place. we're going to be baking egg tarts. ahh.. the taste of home... makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
