Pressing on Towards the Mark

Been really busy the last few weeks. Was in glasgow from 28FEB - 05MAR visiting kenny to celebrate his bday on the 02MAR. think it was the best few days i had in the past 2 months. we didn't do anything much but just simple spending time together was sufficient for me =) - sharing our problems and lives together. its funny, i'm surrounded by so many people here down south but i sometimes feel lonely. i guess i just really miss home and all my friends back there. been meaning to meet up with sangee but both our schedules are just so packed! hopefully, we'll see each other in the next month.

Work is so overwhelming, especially now that i'm in PSS. things happen in a flash and there are a humongous number of deadlines to meet. having to juggle/balance administrative, plant work and DSP is madness. but it's good because it makes my work challenging. at least i know i'm doing something worthwhile and that my mind is continuously stimulated. guess that's just part of me, i need challenge in my life or else i'd think life was meaningless and following which, degenerate into nothingness. also, i hate routine, i'd be insane by the time i turn 30 if life was that way.

Sigh, dave (my manager) is leaving tomorrow and my supervisor in PSS is leaving end march. this is terrible. Dave told me not to burn my bridges but my bridges are catching fire and burning on their own.. great..

Dave thinks i'm a perfectionist. even he could figure that out. gosh.. am i really? i just want and expect too much of myself. i wanna be the best i can be - at least at the end of the day i can say that i did that all i could; i don't wanna have any regrets later all because i didn't put in my best effort (happened before, won't happen again.) No more thoughts about whether i made the right choice in coming here and giving up things back home - i will and am making this the RIGHT choice (think long term). afterall, life is what u make of it and God has his plans. i hope God and my parents are proud of me - though i think i really could do so much more to please God.

My spiritual life has just been going downhill - not being able to find a proper church that i can be comfortable in, no cell group, no ministry to serve in.. totally sucks. maybe i'm just being too choosy and i'm shutting myself out unconsciously. the feeling i get when i attend church here is weird.. sthg is out of place and i can't put my finger on it.

I miss my music, flute and piano.. music appeals to my senses. it keeps me sane. i'll start playing my flute again soon; my fingers are getting restless.

Life still goes on. i'm alive, kicking and grateful for all the things and people around me. i give thanks for the simple things in life e.g. having all my five senses working. i appreciate the wonderful pple who bring smiles to my life though i can't really say i can appreciate nature's beauty because slough is too industrialised. however, i will do in amsterdam next week!! yes!! (kenny's coming on monday and we'll be off on wed!)

- Payday drinks tomorrow
- Amsterdam on wed
- Wales in Easter
- Italy in April
- Travelling with kenny in june and attending his convo.
- Back HOME in July where i'll see everyone again (including my fav prof who's coming back from australia), attend my friends convocation, party, shop, CHURCH!.
- Then it's 6months more before i start giving the singapore government its monies worth.

Life is good :)
