Administrative Matters...

Attended my prof's lecture at NUS yesterday. had a good time listening to him and recapping some stuff i learnt almost 3 years ago.. hahaha~ had lunch with him and his wife tessa at NUH koptiam after that - socialising and finding out more about housing and banking matters in the uk.

Went down to orchard to meet sangee and kenny after taking some instant passport photos at the very suspect "photo-me" machine near the NUS co-op. pictures turned out to be ok but the quality wasn't exactly what i expected, considering the price i paid. anyway, yea, had an excellent time catching-up with sangee; as usual, listening to all the gossip from uk/cambridge and stuff that happened since the last time i saw her (haven't seen her in the longest time! - 1 year!) [Miss ya babe! u look so good and congrats on your grad! on to clinical school next year!!]

Realised that i lost my tertiary EZ link card (GIRO) when we were about to leave orchard. think was because my dear darling overturned my bag while carrying it around for me. anyway, already reported the loss and hopefully i'll be able to get a replacement tomorrow.

Went down to EDB early this morning to get some necessary documents so that i could apply for my visa. all my other uk mates were there too. surprisingly, the British high com accepted our applications though some documents were missing. the last time i had to go down 3 times!!! gosh.. so praise God for this. but eh... i kinda wished something went wrong so we could all depart later and i would then be able to attend May's wedding! anyway...

Applied for another ISIC card... even though i've effectively ceased to be a student. didn't need to produce any kind of documentation or id to prove that i was one either... don't know how that happened. feel quite guilty now - all this so that we (my friends and i) could get more baggage allowance on BA/quantas... [sorry God for being dishonest in a way; was a bad testimony to others today =(] we're only allowed 20kg on board. i carried 39kg the last time i was there for 6mths. i'll be there for 18mths this time. hope everything work's out fine.

The last errand i had to run today was to collect my commission at my office in chinatown.. $710 for 2 weeks.. not bad. heh... and i didn't even work 5 days a week. however, the payee's name was spelt wrongly (even though i corrected my manager last month). tell me, how incredible is that? my colleague told me that i can cash the cheque at any ocbc bank tom cos apparently they don't check ids.. so yea, that's what i'll do. that had better work cos i'm really tired of making unnecessary trips all over the island.

my temper and mood have been rather bad lately... probably because of all the administrative nonsense/matters that have been going on or have to be settled. anyway, that shouldn't be an excuse. God please renew a right spirit within me......
